“Do you want to look at dinosaurs today?” I asked my son today, completely unexpectedly. “Yes,” he replied. So it was decided. We would go to the Berlin Natural History Museum today . By public transport? Or would we rather take the car? It’s always quicker by car and I can throw all the stuff in the trunk. The power of convenience had me. Half an hour there, the little one slept on the way there. What a dream.

What I hadn’t considered again: Berlin-Mitte. Looking for a parking space. Takes time. Buying a parking ticket. Expensive!

After I managed to get a parking space far away from the museum, my eyes almost popped out when I wanted to buy the parking ticket. €2 per hour! Is that normal? I did a bit of calculation and came to the conclusion that it would easily take us 3 hours. With everything included. Dawdling included. So just save €6 for parking. Hellersdorf really spoils me with its low prices.

I bought a ticket (8€ per adult, little Matz was allowed in for free) and off I went. I must have overlooked the entrance for pushchairs. So I wanted to lift the little one and the pushchair up the many steps. A nice man came to my aid and carried the stroller into the museum for me. Thanks again for that!

Oh, I can still remember when I was in this museum as a child. Dinosaurs everywhere, the rain tips fascinating skeletons, cool animals, boring stones. And then the mammoths…
